From discontinued Kool-Aid flavors to coffee-spiked colas, the road through your local supermarket's drinks aisle is paved with products that briefly sizzled — but ultimately didn't stick around, at least if you live in the US.

Crystal Pepsi might've made its last comeback in 2017.

Crystal Pepsi was a massive flop in 1992 and disappeared completely in 1993 — but people love it, which made Pepsi bring it back in 2015, 2016, and 2017. Pepsi claimed in 2017 that was the very last time they'd resurrect it, however.

Black Cherry Vanilla co*ke has been replaced by many new co*ke flavors.

Black Cherry Vanilla co*ke only lasted from 2006 to 2007, and the official page now gives you a 404 error on Coca Cola's site — which seems indicative that it's not coming back any time soon. Still, that doesn't stop people from looking for it.

Coca Cola Blak couldn't reign in enough coffee lovers.

Coca-Cola Blak blended the co*ke taste you know and love with coffee — but failed to reach its audience and was discontinued in 2007. Genius Kitchen supplied a recipe for it, though if you are craving the sweet treat, and it's gotten four stars.

Sprite Remix didn't last.

Sprite Remix took the clear, caffeine-free bubbly soda and brought various fruity flavors to it — from Tropical to Aruba Jam. Though many remember it fondly, the sodas disappeared from store shelves in 2005. They brought back a similar flavor in 2016 for a limited-run but the jury is still out on whether it will return.

Snapple Elements was beloved by many.

Snapple Elements brought dragonfruit to the masses in glass bottles in the '90s — and fans still love it so much that they circulate online petitions once in a while. But that doesn't mean it's coming back any time soon.

Dr. Pepper Berries and Cream still has die-hard fans.

Dr. Pepper Berries and Cream combined the great taste of Dr. Pepper with the flavors of raspberries and cream — and for some die-hard fans, it was clearly a winner. But this particular elixir was discontinued in 2007.

The cool flavors of Diet Pepsi Jazz are missed by many.

Diet Pepsi Jazz came in three flavors — Caramel Cream, Black Cherry and French Vanilla, and Strawberries and Cream when it was released in 2006. By 2008, Pepsi made fans of this zero-calorie cola sad when it discontinued their favorite diet drink.

Fans knew the fate of limited edition Gatorade Lemon Ice.

Gatorade Lemon Ice was a limited-edition flavor — so theoretically, at least, fans knew they had to act quickly to get their hands on it. After disappearing in 2015, fans were still searching for it in 2016 and 2017, only to be told by Gatorade's official social media accounts that their fave flavor was no longer available.

The Hi-C Ecto Cooler was discontinued two times.

Hi-C Ecto Cooler first hit store shelves in conjunction with the release of Ghostbusters II — and was then revived for the 2016 Ghostbusters reboot. While it was always intended as a limited edition re-release, fans were still sad when it was discontinued once more in December 2016.

The reboot of Diet co*ke with Lime can't replace the classic.

Diet co*ke with Lime is the latest Coca-Cola flavor to break fans' hearts when it was discontinued earlier in 2018. From complaints to petitions, it's clear that many lovers of the lime-flavored beverage did not find newly revamped flavor Ginger Lime to be an acceptable substitute.

Pepsi Blue was the perfect blend of berries and Pepsi.

Pepsi Blue mixed berries and Pepsi into a winning combination in 2002 — but the drink was discontinued in the US in 2004. But if you live in the Philippines, you may be in luck, as it's reportedly being sold there, much to the jealousy of fans in other countries.

There's a petition for the return of Dr. Pepper Red Fusion.

Dr. Pepper Red Fusion brought cherry flavor to Dr. Pepper, and fans drank it up in 2002 — but by 2004, it was no longer available. Fans were saddened, and some even created an online petition to bring it back.

Kool-Aid Great Bluedini boasted a magician octopus as its mascot — and also happened to change color when you mixed it up. It came back to store shelves in 2014, but is no longer available at the time of this writing.

Mountain Dew Typhoon was partially created by fans.

Mountain Dew Typhoon was a tropical fruit punch flavored Mountain Dew beverage that was partially created by fans — and made limited appearances on store shelves from 2009 to 2011. Like other fan-favorite drinks, it's even inspired petitions for its re-appearance.

Vault Soda still has a dedicated fan base.

Vault Soda was a citrusy soda and energy drink in one — and sadly disappeared from store shelves in 2011. Fans still nurse mad love for it, and it's yet another soda where unopened canscommand high dollar amounts on the secondary market.

Josta was an energy drink before they were everywhere, introduced by Pepsi in 1995. It disappeared in 1999 — but fans have been trying to bring it back through various campaigns ever since.
