Care Manager (Contract) – Call Centre FAK

Job Summary

  • Case management, handling all outpatient, inpatient, specialized services preauthorization, and
  • Communicating with providers, clients, and brokers on a timely basis.

Job Description

  • Efficient & accurate submission of approvals in line with the medical policy.
  • Obtaining medical information from providers with written correspondence if necessary.
  • Capacity to continually apply negotiation skills with the service providers.
  • Interacting with clients, Intermediaries and services providers as required to resolve problems in a manner that is legal, ethical, and consistent with the principles of the policy.
  • Accurate checking and confirming membership validity, benefits and sending member statement upon enquiry.
  • Accurate guidance on provider network enquiries from brokers, providers, members etc.
  • Vetting and confirming validity of the service given by the service provider in relation to the member benefit covered, treatment given, adherence to provider panel rules and cost of treatment.

Relevant Experience & Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in nursing or other related medical field
  • At least one (1) years’ experience in a similar role in the insurance industry / hospital facility
  • KRCHN Registration

Care Manager (Western Region) – FAK

Job Summary

  • To perform all the case management roles both at the contact Centre and back office, which includes but not limited to:

  • Professionally respond to calls in relation to call Centre guidelines and provide solutions to customer
  • Respond to all emails and give feedback within one 30 minutes of receiving them.
  • Critically analyze all pre-authorization and give accurate response within one hour in line with policy benefits.
  • To handle All the optical/Dental related case in addition to other assigned roles.
  • To vet all prescriptions and other bills to identify any overpriced items.
  • Negotiate with service providers for sustainable costs containment measures.
  • Mitigate fraud through daily bill vetting and regular hospitals Visitation of admitted patients in various hospitals.
  • Discharge patients within 30 minutes, outpatient email response within 15 minutes.
  • Daily sending of admissions reports to clients; Brokers/Agents/ company Human resource managers.

Relevant Experience & Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or other related medical field
  • Minimum four (4) years’ experience in a similar role in the insurance industry

Head of Corporate Credit Managers

Job Summary

  • Facilitate the generation of revenue and assist the business strategic priorities in close working relationships with Retail & Business Banking stakeholders.
  • Support the Credit leadership in the management of impairment and other losses to ensure these are within agreed budgets/forecasts.
  • Improving the control and governance environment for risk activities.
  • A credit professional acting as a credit expert to the relationship team and the conduit to the Credit Risk function for sanctioning purposes.
  • Improve and deepen understanding of our client’s needs through joint client visits with the assigned portfolio Relationship Managers.
  • Responsible for developing practical and appropriate credit solutions (i.e. lending structures) through understanding customers’ needs.
  • Delivering high-quality and consistent, credit applications and making sound recommendations.
  • Monitor and control accounts within designated portfolios to ensure early detection of signs of credit deterioration and take appropriate actions.
  • Maintain the integrity of Commercial Credit Risk System (CCRS) data ensuring the customer is accurately updated.
  • Regularly maintain and update Early Warning Status (EWL) and related strategy sheets for clients classified under these buckets.
  • Responsible for championing Credit policy issues to the designated portfolio and relationship teams through attendance at industry and portfolio meetings.
  • Responsible for efficient use of Bank capital by challenging pricing of facilities within their portfolio and ensuring borrowings to customers meet the minimum required return for the bank.
  • Ensuring Risk Key performance measures are captured correctly and in a timely manner to aid in performance management and decision-making.

Job Description

Main accountabilities and approximate time split

Understanding Credit/ Solutions Development: Time split 35%

  • Assessment of credit proposals through analysis of Business and Credit risks associated with the provision of the bank’s products and services to the customer.
  • Facilitate the generation of revenue and support business growth through the development of high-quality credit solutions aimed at obtaining fast credit approval from Sanctioning teams.
  • Ability to undertake sector and industry analysis to guide the bank in strategy formulation and areas of focus for lending and application of the same within the designated portfolio.

The Credit Process: Time split 30%

  • Preparation of Credit proposals using the CCRS with relevant supporting documentation and recommendations to Credit managers for Sanction.
  • Liaise directly with the Absa Africa Credit Team (BACT) sanctioning office for all credits that are outside the local Risk Team discretion.
  • Attend customer meetings with the Relationship Manager where credit-related issues are to be discussed/ resolved.
  • Support the timely preparation of facility letters through the preparation of accurate Facility Letter Aide Memoirs (FLAM) and ensuring all proposed conditions of sanction, covenants, and internal risk triggers are correctly and accurately captured.
  • Ensure efficient management of capital by ensuring. Where facility letters are not accepted within set timelines, facilities are canceled from CCRS.

Portfolio Management- Monitoring and Control: Time split 20%

  • Responsible for reviewing and analyzing financial information produced by customers against set Credit triggers and financial covenants.
  • Monitor and Control the quality of the portfolio using agreed triggers. Reviewing and engaging Sanctioners on deteriorating trends and trigger events if they give cause for concern, advising the Relationship Manager simultaneously.
  • Recognize and control potential lending fraud risk through robust operational risk and control management.

People Management: Time Split 15%

  • Resource, develop, and retain a motivated high performing team committed to achieving success through each other.
  • Agree on challenging performance and development objectives for all direct reports providing regular feedback/coaching/support to ensure their maximum potential is achieved

Technical skills / Competencies

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and/or the ACIB
  • Knowledge of credit analysis techniques
  • Accreditation on the use of the Commercial Credit Risk system would be an added advantage

Mandatory

  • A seasoned banker with proven networks, preferably not less than 7 years in the banking industry
  • Proven experience in a Credit role as a Corporate Credit Manager (CCM) level gained within the banking industry
  • Excellent understanding of credit and associated risks
  • Experienced user of Commercial Credit Risk System (CCRS) or a similar system to analyze, monitor, and report on credit applications.

Business Development Manager – Asset Finance

Job Summary

  • The purpose of this role is to have a dedicated resource with the appropriate skills and knowledge to support the Asset Finance strategy in the CIB and BB segments of the bank.
  • The Role will involve enhancing Asset Finance business development through effective sales action plans, ensuring all new business is sourced from Dealers, existing Clients, and New to bank clients.
  • To implement sales plans/actions/ promotions and identify sales opportunities and ensure compliance objectives are adhered to

Key accountabilities and approximate time split

Business Development; Time split 70%

  • Responsible for the achievement of the CIB and BB Asset Finance revenue and Balance sheet targets as agreed
  • Work with the assigned team of RMs/Branches to ensure that NTB Asset Finance requirements are sourced and underwritten as per agreed timelines.
  • Work with the Trade Finance team to ensure that all Letters of Credit customers/facilities maturing into ABF are dealt with accordingly and on a timely basis.
  • Joint customer visits with BMs/ RMs to understand Asset finance needs and tailor customer-led solutions
  • Ensure Weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance tracking is shared with all stakeholders
  • Regular engagements with the CIB, Credit, and BB teams on Asset Finance opportunities (including Leasing opportunities)
  • Have Sales activations and customer sensitization(quarterly) in partnership with partners to increase uptake and leverage on Bank customers’ activities to position the same
  • Relationship management with Dealer partners for effective service delivery
  • Servicing CIB and BB customers and ensuring the TATs with customers are adhered to
  • Monitoring and evaluation of business strategies set
  • Dashboard management with relevant MI teams to confirm the accuracy of management reports on sales activities
  • Identifying cross and up-sale opportunities and tracking performance
  • Work with the Head of Asset Finance to ensure strategy deliverables are properly documented and monitored.
  • Responsible for call reports on customer visits.
  • Ensure all documentation is correctly completed, collected, and submitted as per procedure manuals and SLA’s
  • Conduct stakeholder training to increase product knowledge across the Bank

Rigor/compliance; Time split 5%

  • Ensure all regulatory requirements are met by ensuring compliance with the Banking Act and SLA’s
  • Ensures review and escalation if required, of Sales administrative issues.
  • Responsible for compliance with business procedure manuals
  • Ensuring all complaints are reported, tracked, and resolved as per SLA by the Head office
  • Ensure compliance with the Snap checks process and internal audit

Stakeholder Management; Time split 15%

  • Managing relationships with CIB and BB colleagues to drive business
  • Dealing with outlets, and operations center to ensure full understanding of the ABF process & procedures
  • Providing general support to the other Colleagues as and when required
  • Work with Branch managers to ensure that branch colleagues are able to manage queries and complaints and get them resolved in a timely manner.
  • Active participation to ensure the team is achieving the desired targets.

Market Intelligence (5%)

  • Collect market intelligence through research by reading articles, publications, the internet, word of mouth, and networking on a daily basis to keep abreast of market development.
  • Assess market opportunities with respect to competitor sales sources by remaining in touch with market forces and influences
  • Dealer visits on a weekly basis to source information regarding competitor’s scheduled activities.
