"Amish Mafia" aired its second season finale on Sept. 17 and it was an hour of epic drama.

Everything appeared to be coming to a head for Lebanon Levi, as Merlin and Alan secured the help of the Kentucky Amish and the bishop continued the shunning of the show's star.

Here's what went down on the finale - and, if you were worried about having to live an "Amish Mafia" free life until the next season in 2014, you need not worry. Show producers announced "Amish Mafia" will be back with a special episode next week and with a Christmas special later in the year.

But, without further ado, here's what went down:

Bad decision repercussions. Last episode, Esther opted to throw her brothers to the curb in an effort to get with Levi and get all of his "power." Unfortunately, right when she did that Levi got shunned by the church. So now instead of having it free and easy, Esther is back to scheming to get her new man, and thus her, back in the good graces. Her tactic is through tackling the women. All you need is three Amish women with needles to get stuff done, according to her.

  • The reality behind "Amish Mafia" and other things you need to know about the show.

Leader Wayne. All hail Wayne, the new rule enforcer in Ohio. He's taken over Merlin's spot completely now and even has the bishop's blessing. He's the little minion that could.

Tractor fights. Levi's stuff was all auctioned off by the Amish on the show, so Caleb is going around trying to get it back. One of the items he's tasked with re-acquiring is Levi's tractor. But the man doesn't want to give it back, so Caleb hot-wires it and - when the man is justifiably angry - punches him in the face. Tractor acquired.

Bishop drama. Levi is out to get himself back in favor with the local bishop, so he arrives for a meeting with him in a horse and buggy (to appear more humble). The bishop says he's p.o-ed that Levi's crony Caleb is flirting with his daughter. He wants Levi to do something about it.

Cornfield meetings. You know it's serious when you have to have a meeting in the middle of a cornfield - which is exactly where Levi talks with Alvin and Jolin over the Caleb issue. They all agree they have to do something about it.

Big Steve's return. Levi is still out to get Alan though, so he recruits Big Steve to help... which he agrees to do readily. However, Big Steve still doesn't want to be seen talking with Levi, so when someone comes close after the meeting he makes a run for the cornfield.

Armed 'Amish.' The Kentucky Amish agree to help out Merlin and Alan, and they mean business. As they load up their vehicle the camera shows hoes, pitchforks and knives... lots and lots of knives. Alan is impressed as is Merlin. "They're a holy army and we just need to push the right buttons," Merlin says.

Car destruction. What's an episode of "Amish Mafia" without a good smashing? Big Steve provides this week as he destroys the cars that Alan has been storing for Amish teens. I suppose that is payback for Alan destroying his house.

Court appearances. Finally the show touches on the real-life drama of Alan Beiler's life - his Perry County court hearings and sentencing. Beiler was sentenced to 3-23 months in jail for eluding officers in a high speed chase, drug possession and driving under a suspended license. You can read more about him in prison here.

Fundraising. Lebanon Levi is trying to get back in good with the community - so he helps a library raise funds by appearing there. This fundraising event really did happen in March (the sentencing of Alan Beiler happened in August though). You can read more about it here.

Star-crossed lovers. Caleb may never be further from his love than he is at the conclusion of the season finale. Levi is not happy with Caleb's romance, so he has Alvin and Jolin teach him a lesson. They take Caleb for "a ride" and then take him into a wood shed. The cameras don't follow, but both Alvin and Jolin are seen carrying baseball bats - it definitely doesn't look good for Caleb.
