What happened to Ash's Latias? ›

Latios sacrificed himself to save his home and turned into the new Soul Dew.

Ash's Latias is a Pokémon that Ash caught after he returned from Alola.

That Latias has tagged along invisibly, curious about Ash but reluctant to reveal its presence unless he was in danger. Now, it seems Latias finally trusts Ash enough to reveal what it really needs him to do: help save Latios.

She was, however, shown to have a more mature side beside her childish and playful side, bravely joining her big brother to save Alto Mare from drowning. Latias is one of the few Pokémon seen in the anime to have been shown to have a crush on a person, who, in Latias's case, is Ash.

Restoring balance was Ash's priority, but after seeing the consequences of catching a legendary Pokémon, Ash was convinced not to do the same. However, that doesn't mean the pair didn't form a fantastic bond during their time together.

However, Latias does not recognize Ash, which it surely would if it remembered the events of Pokémon Heroes. That doesn't mean this Latias is completely unrelated, though. Since then, many species of Legendary Pokémon have been on-screen, and there are many reasons why Ash never caught a Legendary Pokémon. Some were too dangerous to train, while others preferred freedom to being caught. What's interesting is that Ash didn't go out of his way to catch this Mythical Pokémon.

However, Mewtwo wished to be one of Ash's Pokémon to evade being captured by someone else due to the fact that Giovanni had mass produced dozens of Master Balls to many of his agents, hunters, and poachers. Althought he was hestitant at first, Ash agreed with his request and captured Mewtwo in the Master Ball.

The answer is validation, much like any human artist craves. Any social being thrives on validation, and Pokémon's Jigglypuff is no exception. In Episode 45, "The Song of Jigglypuff," Misty planned to catch this particular Pokémon until she realized it couldn't sing.

Why does Ashe have so many tauros? ›

Ash spent a lot of time in the Safari Zone in "The Legend of Dratini", attempting to catch as many Pokémon as he possibly could. However, all he managed to catch were 30 Tauros, as they always ran in front of his Poké Balls when he tried to catch another Pokémon. All 30 were sent to Professor Oak's lab.

This Pokemon turns out to be Lugia, who arrives in a storm cloud of power. All 30 were sent to Professor Oak's lab. Since Ash captured the Tauros in a banned episode, it led to some confusion from international viewers as they wondered how and when Ash had obtained these Tauros.

At the end of the movie, Latios gave his own life to the entire city. He is one of Pokémon's well-known heroes.

Why didn't Ash keep Solgaleo with him? To keep with the new areas that Ash travels to, Ash just takes Pikachu with him. And if he always took and kept his strongest then he would never grow as a trainer. Pikachu almost always gets nerfed to keep him from being op.
