About Carin
Carin Molin originally became a licensed Realtor in California in 1989. She has an extensive educational background including a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology from National University La Jolla and an Associates Degree in International Hospitality Management from Gothenburg, Sweden. She also studied various International courses at Brighton University and Bornemouthe University in England, and Cornell University in France. Her latest educational endeavour includes becoming a Luxury Home Certified Agent through the CRS – Certified Residential Specialist training and exam program.
She holds the GRI designation which consists of studying 14 different real estate subjects and passing exams through the Graduate Realtor Institute which is an extensive real estate course typically taken in 12 months time. Carin holds an e-Pro designation, which is the real estate industry’s educational course in conducting business over the internet with today’s high tech options. In addition she earned her Resort and Second Home Property Specialist Designation, which trains realtors to specialize as experts in second home investment opportunities. She is the managing Broker of Top Agent Realty Group, Inc. Carin has typically one or two agents who work directly with her besides her knowledgeable title rep for those crazy title issues that no one expects on their home and an extremely helpful transaction coordinator to round out a great team.
Carin specializes in Luxury Property Management, Residential resale and new homes in Southern California from Ventura County to southern San Diego. Larger estate properties to smaller investment condo’s with the passion of connecting the right property with the right person all while having the experience to catch and advise her clients before committing to something on a whim or purely emotional basis. Carin is cool under pressure and has a good poker-face when negotiating the best situation for her clients and deals that she is still passionate about after 3 decades! She took Hiphop classes in her 40s and loved it and even was in a College stage performance for it!
On her TO DO LIST is to learn how to fly a plane! First learn how to fly a small Cessna, then a Bush Plane so she can land off road!
Most of her extended family lives in Sweden.
Her Father is still alive and lives on his own now at age 99 in Los Angeles next door to her only sibling.
Carin was married for 20 years to the son of the creator-co-owner and founder of Family Fitness that merged with the huge conglomerate 24 Hour Fitness. (He passed away in 2016).
Her brother is a super high end building contractor…. completely discrete, no website, no reviews, just clients for life that refer other friends and will wait years for him.
Most famous person she has almost dated.. Jimmy McNichol (he was big in the 70s to 80s and asked her out when she was maybe 19,20.. He was super cute, but she politely declined), Max Baer AKA Jethro from the Beverly Hillbillies (at a Hollywood party..sorry your not my type) and former Governor Jerry Brown (no thank you)
She also loves Organic Apples, fresh (organic) Raspberries & Blueberries, the colour Lime, all kinds of flowers, and Aston Martins.
