Cub Cadet, Yanmar Join Forces for New Tractors (2024)

Two long-time, well-respected names in their respective fields have joined forces to provide rural and suburban U.S. property owners with a new line of compact tractors.

Cub Cadet Yanmar is introducing its up-to-50 horsepower line with the new Ex3200, a 32 gross hp. compact tractor capable of 25.5 hp at the power takeoff and with a three-point hitch lift capacity of 1100 lbs.

The first of the line is powered with Yanmar's 100 cubic inch three-cylinder, liquid-cooled diesel engine that develops its rated horsepower at 2600 rpm. The Yanmar's power goes to the ground through a heavier-than-normal flywheel and a three-range hydrostatic transmission. Ground speeds range from 4.1 to 13.2 miles per hour. Industrial, turf or ag tires are available for using that power, and a 6.3 gallon fuel tank ensures you can stay on the job for extended periods.

The sculpted 'custom fit' loader gives the new Cub Cadet Yanmar line of tractors a sleek look. The new line starts with this 32-hp Ex3200 machine. The two well-known brands joined forces recently with plans to bring machines to rural and suburban owners with tractors up to 50 hp.

The Ex3200 boasts a healthy 9.9 gallon per minute hydraulic system, which also runs the tractor's power steering and the live/independent mid and rear PTOs. With more than 70% of new compact tractors being sold in the U.S. with loaders, the Ex3200 comes with a loader valve standard along with its Category 1 three-point hitch.

To go with the new tractors, Cub Cadet Yanmar offers a line of "custom fit" accessories such as a curved boom loader, backhoe, mid-mount mowing deck, a rear-mounted mower, tiller, box blade, rear "maintainer" blade, landscape rake, rotary cutter and post hole digger. A ballast box and a heavy duty grill guard are also available.

The Cub Cadet Yanmar tractors carry a 2 year or 2,000 hour limited warranty, and the engine and drive train are similarly covered for 3 years or 2,000 hours, whichever comes first.

Cub Cadet traces its history to 1961 with its introduction of the popular 8 hp. Cub Cadet for rural and suburban lawn and garden chores, and Yanmar, established in Osaka, Japan in 1912, built the world's first practical small diesel engine in 1933.
