Their increased movement speed makes them trickier to hit, and their breath attack makes them a constant threat, especially in pairs. Dark Lizalfos have 72 HP, meaning will have to strike it 9 times with the Goddess White Sword in order to take it down.

Dark Lizalfos are vulnerable while they are using their Cursed Breath attack. Use a vertical or horizontal Spin Attack to knock them down and finish with a Fatal Blow.

Tips for Fighting Black Lizalfos

Get used to their timing so you can sidestep their attacks and hit them with a counterattack. Don't let Black Lizalfos surround you if you can help it. Instead, try to get them to separate so you have time to line up your counterattacks.

Use bombs to throw at one of them while preparing to fight the other. Alternatively, you can wait for them to attack and use your shield to shield bash them, thus leaving them open for a spin attack, then a fatal blow.

Dark Lizalfos are saurian enemies characterized by their orange-crests, purple hide and superior strength over normal Lizalfos. They initially appear as mini-bosses in the Fire Sanctuary, though they reappear as regular enemies in the Sky Keep.

Having a Loftwing and being able to ride it separates the kids from the adults. Loftwings cannot fly during the nighttime due to having terrible night vision, with only those which have been specially trained can fly in the dark.

Run around while lifting your sword in the air to charge your Skyward Strike. Once it's full, lock on to the nearest tentacle and let a horizontal strike rip. This will sever the tentacle(s) in its path.

Upon exiting the cave, you'll be reunited with Zelda who will seem a little distracted. With her in tow, head to your right and you'll soon find the Crimson Loftwing trapped behind a series of boards. To free the Crimson Loftwing, all you need to do is hit each set of ropes with your sword twice.

The key to this battle is to make sure your strike hits him before he unleashes his own. (A likely patter to this is: Shield Bash three of his attacks, lower your shield and raise your sword. You should be able to charge a Skyward Strike and then unleash it quickly to stun him.

Dodge the slow attack and, while the boss is recovering, take out your bow and shoot Abyssal Leviathan Tentalus in the eye, which causes it to drop its head onto the deck. Run between its hair-like tentacles, and repeatedly slash its eye. Repeat this process a few times before the next phase.
