Elden Ring guide: Godrick’s Great Rune and Remembrance of the Grafted (2024)

So you’ve defeated Godrick the Grafted. Now what? In this Elden Ring Godrick’s Great Rune and Remembrance of the Grafted guide, we’ll explain what to do with the two unique items you receive upon defeating the boss in Stormveil Castle.

Great Runes are shards of the titular Elden Ring that, once restored, grant you a benefit when equipped. Remembrances are consumable items that can be turned into unique weapons (or a whole bunch of runes).

Elden Ring Godrick’s Great Rune

The Great Runes you receive by defeating shardbearers have lost their beneficial power. However, their power can he restored at Divine Towers throughout the Lands Between.

To restore the power of Godrick’s Great Rune, head to the Limgrave Tower Bridge on the east side of Stormveil Castle (it’s near where you fought the Lion Guardian). From there, follow the bridge east, past the three colossi (colossuses?) until you find a teleporter where the bridge crumbles.

The teleporter will deliver you even farther east to the Divine Tower of Limgrave. Push open the doors and ride the lift. At the top, you’ll find the Divine Tower of Limgrave site of grace.

Follow the path to the very top of the tower. In the center, next to the desiccated Fingers, there’s a glowing rune. Approach it to restore the power of the Great Rune. Head to a site of grace and select Great Runes from the menu to equip it.

Once equipped, Godrick’s Great Rune (says that it) raises all your attributes. However, and this is important, you won’t actually gain this benefit until you consume a Rune Arc (and the effects of a Rune Arc only last until death). Activating Godrick’s Great Rune with a Rune Arc raises all of your attributes by five.

Remembrance of the Grafted

After defeating Godrick, head back to the Table of Lost Grace in Roundtable Hold. There’ll be a new door open to you where you’ll meet Enia the Finger Reader.

Talk to her, and she’ll tell you all about the Fingers. When she’s done, choose to receive power from remembrance in her menu. This converts the Remembrance of the Grafted into either the Axe of Godrick, a high strength greataxe, or the Grafted Dragon, a fist weapon. Alternately, you can consume the Remembrance to gain 20,000 runes.
