what im leaning toward now is just going to school since im pretty happy w WashU + their scholly offer and if i happen to do well academically maybe apply to transfer up

but every now and then ill be doomscrolling on linkedin and see a cool fellowship for people with bachelor's degrees to work for ~exactly a year~ and im like "hmmmm"

Sorry I meant just reapplying but used the R & R acronym because I’m tired haha. So for what it’s worth I worked/work with someone who was recruited by the aclu and went to Harvard but passed on that opportunity for their job as one of around 30 people running the county. Out of those 30 people I think this person is the only or one of the only people who went to an Ivy League school (Harvard). I don’t t know if they all went to college even.

What is my point we because were applicants really overemphasize the importance of where we go to school for outcomes imo. That being said if it means enough to you and you can do it then don’t live life with regrets because that’s pointless.

We’re* another good exercise though to figure out if you really want to do this is to consider how you would feel if you completely fail or have worse results next cycle. If it would still be worth it to you and you wouldn’t feel like you did the wrong thing by reapplying then obviously there’s your answer.

Wash U is obviously an awesome school but disagree about the transfer options @wasp I’d think it’d be hard to transfer out because you’re pitting yourself against some of the nation’s brightest law school students

thats a good point, I was jut considering prestige not how competitive it is

@manifestT14acceptances: also to add on to my already way too many words everything happens now! So a year working you could be helping people/getting experience/ developing relationships that will mean the world for you when you’re an attorney. It’s nbd to me at least. Interesting work is awesome!

there are plenty of reasons people take birth control it would be whack for your pharmacist to judge you for it even if you did go to high school with them

@ara and wasp that makes sense thanks i think i just like working over being a student so every time my brain gets a chance to contemplate procrastinating another degree it takes that chance and ~runs with it~

yeah just in general unless you know anything about one of the specific schools I am waitlisted at. I will take that info.

i mean in general i think there should be more movement soon but i think it would be less movement than we saw like early may-ish

Ahh alright. What I was expecting too. 6 more days and I start studying the LSAT again.

but when i think about it it seems like at least one t14 still gearing up to make some admissions decisions soon, and GULC, WashU, and Vandy havent made as many wl>a admissions as people thought they would/as they normally would. if they end up admitting a bunch of people soon then it makes sense to think a lot of spots beyond the t20 would open up. granted maybe they just overadmitted or something but that would still be surprising.

also UCLA and USC's second deposit deadline is soon and if they end up admitting from their waitlists then that would also free up more spots somewhere

i personally am choosing to remain optimistic about all waitlists rn but im also biased because i am also in a place where i would welcome a wl>a from certain schools hehe

yeah i doubt they overadmitted, adcoms usually don’t mess up that badly
