The 'Deadly Ninja' Jack Wilson returned to face the Australian Ninja Warrior course after one of the most difficult years of his life.
After jumping off a cliff in Bali, the 28-year-old was involved in a freak accident which left him lucky to be alive. He broke his L3 vertebrae in his back.
"I hit the water and there was a sudden feeling of agony all over my body. Something's wrong," Jack said, recalling the moment.

"I had a little conversation with myself in that moment and said, 'Everything's going to be ok. I can get through this. Let's do this.' As the pain started to really come on and sort of intensify I climbed out of the water and got to the surface. I was in survival mode at that point and my adrenaline was rushing.
"When I got to the surface my body just went into shock and I couldn't move and then I knew something was terribly wrong and I was an hour away from the hospital.
"I had to summon the strength to get on a scooter and ride an hour to the hospital. I found myself overseas with a pretty critical injury."
Jack chose not to have the injury operated on while in Bali.
Instead embarked on a longer road to a natural recovery, noting that it was a difficult period in his time.
"It was just scary," he said. "I wasn't home. I had to believe in myself and just stay strong."
From the time of the accident to taking on the Australian Ninja Warrior course again it was a full year of recovery for the star.
"It was like my first time back on the show. It felt very amplifying. The energy was just insane. I went out there with a big smile on my face," he said.
Jack's run was inspiring. While he powered through the opening obstacles he sadly came unstuck on the Beehive, one of the most challenging new obstacles on the course this year.
