One of the easiest checks to make is the serial number on the watch. Every Gucci watch is sold with an authenticity certificate, which features a serial number. You can check this serial number with Gucci to confirm that the watch in question is genuine.
A final red flag is the price. Typically, if something seems too good to be true it usually is, and that certainly applies to luxury watch brands. Something significantly cheaper than the standard asking price is questionably fake.
