How Much Money to Take to a Prague Stag Do (2024)

We’re not going to sugarcoat it – working out how much money you need to take to a Prague stag do is dull AF…

… but it’s probably the most important thing you’ll do.

You don’t want to wake up on day two only to realise you’ve got £13.42 to last you the rest of the weekend.

“Just the side salad and a tap water for me please, chief!”

Sod that.

Here at StagWeb, we had a chat to our Prague Destination Specialist for the lowdown on budgeting for your Prague stag do.

How Much Money Should I Take to Prague?

Budget Trip: £50 per day

Prague is known for being affordable, so if you and the lads are on a budget, you should be able to get by on £50 a day. Just watch out for tourist traps and find a few boozers away from the main squares.

Standard Trip: £75-£100 per day

£100 per day should be more than enough to get by on. With relatively cheap pint prices and food, you won’t have many (if any) money worries – just keep an eye on things.

Baller Trip: £150+

In Prague, £150 and over per day will ensure you and the lads are living the high life on the main man’s big weekend away.

What is the Currency in the Czech Republic?

Despite being a member of the EU, the Czech Republic has its own currency: the Czech Koruna.

The exchange rate will fluctuate, but £1 should equate to around 30 Kc.

Is £100 a Day Enough in Prague?

Yes, £100 a day should be more than enough money in Prague for a stag.

Does Prague Prefer Cash or Card?

Most bars and restaurants will accept cards, but it’s always a good idea to have some backup cash in the old wallet in case of emergencies.

Should I Exchange Money Before Going to Prague?

We’d recommend getting some cash out before going to Prague. Your bank might charge you to withdraw cash when you’re out there, so it’s always good to be prepared.
