What makes up correct FFA Official Dress? ›

Official Dress Guidelines

Black slacks and black socks/nylons or black skirt and black nylons. White collared blouse or white collared shirt. Official FFA tie or official FFA scarf. Black dress shoes with closed heel and toe.

Black skirt or black dress pants. Skirt is to be at least knee length, hemmed evenly across the bottom, with a slit no longer than 2 inches above the knee, excluding the kick pleat. Black slacks may be appropriate for traveling and outdoor activities. White collared blouse and official FFA blue scarf.

An official FFA jacket zipped to the top. The collar should be turned down, and the cuffs buttoned. Black skirt or black dress slacks. (No jeans - blue or black, leather, pleather, etc.)

Official Dress is now ungendered and girls and boys can wear either skirts or pants as they wish.

The iconic FFA blue jacket is a beacon of community and pride. As a part of the FFA Official Dress, it is important that students gain the full experience and benefit of being an FFA member. Through the support of sponsors and donors, FFA has been able to provide blue jackets to deserving members.

The blue corduroy jacket was first introduced in 1933 at the FFA National Convention by the delegates from the Fredericktown, Ohio FFA Chapter, led by Dr. Gus Lintner. It proved such a hit that it was quickly adopted as the new uniform.

Female Official Dress

White collared blouse and official FFA blue scarf. Black dress shoes with a closed heel and toe (No boots, sandals, open-toed shoes, or tennis shoes.) Black nylon hosiery. Official FFA jacket zipped to the top.

Male Official Dress

Wear it properly - and with pride! Grooming- While in Official dress, the following guidelines will be followed: No visible body piercing jewelry is allowed with exception of earrings for girls.

What does OD stand for in FFA? ›

OD means Official Dress. It means wearing black pants, black shoes, white button-up shirt, FFA tie/scarf, and FFA blue corduroy jacket.

The Pledge of Allegiance is the official salute of the FFA organization. To properly conduct the salute, face the United States flag, place the right hand over the left part of the chest and, holding it there, repeat the Pledge of Allegiance.
