Most of us know about what helium can do to our voice once it is inhaled. It makes it higher and shrill than what it already was. On several occasions, this is done to have some fun during a shindig.

However, did you know that there is a gas that can make your voice deeper too? It is called Sulfur Hexafluoride and this takes place owing to its high density.

Also known as 'deep voice gas', a video was posted by a page called 'Cody's Lab' whoinhales this as well as another gas called Perflourobutane. This one was denser than Sulfur Hexafluoride.

When he did the needful, the results were captured in a video.

When one hears the results, some might think that his sound sounds 'evil' and 'demonic'. In short, some might be reminded of Darth Vader! As soon as he inhaled Perfluorobutane, the man's voice became deeper and the speech starts to lag a bit.

Sulfur Hexafluoride is an inert gas that is known to be six times heavier than the air we breathe. While Helium being lighter makes our voice higher, SF6 makes our voice deeper. The sound travels slower in denser gases which is why our voice will come out deeper and rather slow.

However, inhaling such gases is never a good idea all the time. They can irritate your throat and cause problems in your lungs.

Coming back to the above-posted video, it went viral for all the right reasons. Till now, it garnered 8,78,291 views on YouTube and it is being shared on various social media platforms as well.
