Angler- The Angler is a giant fish that tends to live towards the bottom of the ocean around the island. Similar to normal anglerfish, this one has bioluminescent pods that hang off its head to attract prey. If one manages to tame an Angler there is no need for a saddle to ride it. However, it is not necessarily one of the better mounts in the sea due to it being on the small end of the sea creatures. It does come in handy when exploring the dark parts of the ocean as its bio lights brighten the depths. These bio lights can also be harvested in gel form and used on land as a colorful alternative to the standard flame.

Coelocanth- This is simply a basic fish. Found in nearly every water source this fish is the easiest thing to kill in the game. If you need some quick raw meat this is an okay source if you're near water. It is untamable, besides it wouldn't be worth the effort to tame.

Ichthyosaur- The Ichthy is a friendly and very curious creature. It will often times swim right up to humans and their mounts looking to check things out and play. Because this creature voluntarily approaches humans it can very easily be tamed by hand feeding it instead of knocking it unconscious. The Ichthy is a perfect beginner's mount as it is easy to tame and can sustain very fast speed in the water for a long time. This is probably the fastest creature in the seas.

Megalodon- One of the deadliest creatures you will encounter under the waves. While it may look like a Great White shark it is several times larger. This sea creature is basically a swimming version of a T-Rex. Powerful and fast, this predator is extremely aggressive and will attack nearly everything in the water, including other Megalodons. It is highly recommended that you bring a metal Pike with you when swimming in the oceans as this will be your best defense against them, if you must defend yourself. With the right saddle a Megalodon is a good choice for a moderate sea mount.

Mega Piranha - This aggressive carnivore hunts in packs ranging from a few to 20 or more. Just as the Megalodon rules the seas, the Mega Piranha rules the lakes and rivers of the island. If you find water inside one of the many caves on the island there is an excellent chance you'll find a large pack of them swarming anything that falls in. While not a big threat alone or smaller groups, they will ruin anyone's day when swimming in large schools. It is always best to check the water first before going for extended swimming sessions.

Mosasaurus - If the Megalodon is the T-Rex of the sea, then the Mosasaurus is the Giganotosaurus. This massive beast is likely the largest creature in the ocean. Although it spends most of its time near the bottom, the Mosa actually breathes air, only coming up to eat or breathe. While not the fastest creature in the sea, it definitely is the most powerful. If a tribe is eager enough to tame such a large beast they can chose to place a platform saddle on its back. This provides the perfect opportunity to have mobile sea base or a heavily armed warship of sorts.

Plesiosaur- The Plesie is a massive deep sea creature that never really strays far from home. One of the more powerful creatures in the sea it can easily take on Megalodons that are feeling lucky. In the wild these creatures are not particularly quick but when tamed can be almost as fast as wild Ichthies. Because of their massive size tribes can build small mobile bases on their back. However, taming a Plesiosaur presents a rather large challenge since these creatures do not like to surface and do not stray far from the ocean floor.

Trilobite - The Trilobite is a strange mix between a slug and a crab. This oddity mostly sticks to the oceans and some rivers but will occasionally venture onto the beaches. Trilobites are no threat to anyone, provide little food, and have no use being tamed. However, Trilobites are a good source of chitin and provide some oil and pearls as well.
