The Right Slopes for Me?

Beginners

Excellent: The fantastic thing about Trysil is the 28 green runs are spread across the mountain, meaning you have the opportunity to explore the whole area even if it’s your first week on the snow. The quiet slopes of Trysil include 3 children’s areas which have ideal conditions to learn to ski. The ski school provides instruction at an international standard and all instructors are English speaking.

Intermediate

Excellent: Intermediate skiers will find plenty to do across the 14 blue and 14 red runs offered in the resort. If you fancy a challenge, you can try your hand at the ski and boarder cross, speed tests, or slalom courses that are spread throughout the resort.

Advanced

Good: There is lots on offer for the more advanced skier or snowboarder with a dedicated expert area (Høgegga) and advanced snow parks (up to XGames quality). Explore plenty of untouched powder through tranquil tree lined off piste areas as well.

Cross-Country

Good: There is a comfortable 100km of well-maintained trails and tracks spread across and around the resort suitable for first timers and experience cross-country enthusiasts. The cross country school is headed by Anita Moen, retired Olympic cross country medallist.

Snowboard

Good: Trysil has a huge selection of jumps, boxes and rails from the smallest beginner humps and bumps to massive expert jumps spread across two snow parks. Boarders should be aware that drag lifts dominate the lift system.

Activities & Après

Activities

For many, skiing is the primary activity whilst on holiday, but we're happy to suggest some exciting alternatives to enhance your ski experience as well as giving you a wider flavour of Scandinavia. All of the suggested non-ski activities operate on a 'not for profit' basis and serve to enhance your holiday and support local businesses.

  • Husky sledding
  • Night skiing & snowboarding
  • Time trials, slalom & boarder cross
  • Mountain touring
  • Snowshoeing evening
  • Magical horse sleigh ride
  • Snowmobiling
  • Ice fishing
  • Spa
  • Bowling

Après ski & eating out

Most bars have a relaxed after ski atmosphere throughout the season. You will find a more lively après vibe at weekends and during Norwegian holidays. There are a good choice of restaurants spread across the resorts from a la carte dining to casual pizzerias.
