The Warrior is the final boss in the Borderlands 2 campaign. As such, it is one of the most powerful creatures in the game. You will encounter this creature only in the Vault of the Warrior. As soon as you walk far enough toward the stone vault shrine in this area, the Warrior will appear.
The Warrior has a slew of deadly attacks. As you do damage, the Warrior will constantly move around the area. The creature breathes fire, zaps players with slag, throws boulders, attacks with a tail stab, and can even knock players into the lava. Get thrown far enough and you may even be instantly killed.
Along with the Warrior's attacks, there are also a few rakk and volcaniccrystalisk waiting to strike so it is always best to keep on the move. There are quite a few rock formations to hide behind as well.
The best way to slay the Warrior is to simply shoot at him. Specifically, it has weak "critical damage" spots in its mouth as well as the heart that you must first shoot at to reveal. Once you have defeated the Warrior, it will rise up one final time in an attempt to do more damage. At this point, all it takes is one final shot to fell the beast. After doing so, the Warrior falls dead and then his head explodes. This then covers the area in loot of all rarities which the player is free to pick up including the Conference Call shotgun (if you're lucky).
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The Warrior drops some awesome loot, but he tends to fall down on top of some of it. If you see a rare item under the Warrior but you cannot reach it, try jumping on top of the item and looking down. If you are still unable to reach it, zone out of the Vault of the Warrior, walk back to Hero's Pass through the Eridium Blight, and then run your way through the enemies of Hero's Pass to get back to the Vault. The Warrior should have despawned and left your loot right where you found it. WARNING: DO NOT USE FAST TRAVEL. IF YOU DO, THE WARRIOR WILL RESPAWN AND EAT ALL OF YOUR AWESOME LOOT.
It is also important to keep an eye out for loot that is jettisoned directly across the platform from where the Warrior explodes. Some of this loot can be thrown into the lava and be completely unreachable.
As of 10/17/12, the looting issues with the Warrior have not been fixed.
