Season 17 of the Canadian hit series will premiere on UP Faith & Family for the first time in weekly installments beginning on Thursday, April 25. The streaming service will be the exclusive home to season 17 of Heartland through 2025.

In May 2023, the series was renewed for a 10-episode seventeenth season, which premiered in Canada on October 1, 2023. In May 2024, the series was renewed for an eighteenth season, which immediately began filming thereafter. It is set to premiere in Canada in the fall of 2024, and in the US later in 2025.
The first-run US distribution rights for Heartland are with UPtv and its streaming service. UPtv and UP Faith & Family confirmed to What's on Netflix in 2023 that they would hold the exclusive US rights between 2023 and 2024.
While Heartland seasons 1 through 14 are available on some US services, Heartland's current season (season 17) and most recent season (season 16) are only available on CBC's website, which streams new and past episodes for free.
