Fans are have now had a few days to see the third instalment of the Creed series, as 'Creed III' was released on March 2.
The new film tells the life story of the fictional boxer Adonis Creed, the character that has been portrayed by Michael B. Jordan, and it has already been released in countries all around the world.
The spin-off is part of the Rocky Balboa film saga, but this instalment has attracted attention for not including Sylvester Stallone, the man who played Rocky in the first two Creed films and in the Rocky films.
Stallone, who is the creator of the environment in which Creed is set and who played Balboa in his role as Adonis' trainer, only appears in the credits as a producer.
Why is Sylvester Stallone absent from 'Creed III'?
The 76-year-old actor said in an interview that he did not participate in the filming of the movie because the story had been given a direction with which he did not agree.
"That's a regretful situation because I know what it could have been," Stallone told THR about disagreeing with the new film's tone.
"It was taken in a direction that is quite different than I would've taken it.
"It's a different philosophy, Irwin Winkler's and Michael B. Jordan's.
"I wish them well, but I'm much more of a sentimentalist.
"I like my heroes getting beat up, but I just don't want them going into that dark space. I just feel people have enough darkness."
This is why Stallone pulled out, meaning it was his decision and not that of anyone else.
