Why did Ging not want to see Gon?
Ging claims that he does not want to see Gon because he is too ashamed of himself for being absent in Gon's life due to his own selfishness, and challenges his son to find him.
Well it's a matter of interpretation, but I feel that Ging does indeed love Gon, but he had to leave him behind when he went to the Dark Continent. The one thing Gon wanted from Ging was to stay with him. To learn from him. To go on his adventures and really get to know him.
There is apparently no connection between Ging and Hisoka as the latter was brought up with a circus crew and learnt Nen from a circus master, while Ging had a family.
For many, Ging Freecss is already a villain if not, at least, an antagonist, He consistently ranks high on people's personal lists of most terrible anime dads, and his presence around other Hunters is enough to get the hint that he is far from the most agreeable guy at a party.
How Did Gon Lose His Nen in Hunter x Hunter? As previously mentioned, Gon made a Nen contract to get enough power to defeat Neferpitou. The key difference between Gon's contract and Kurapika's is that Gon not only puts his life on the line, but also willingly gives up all of his Nen.
1. Adult Gon – the most powerful Hunter x Hunter character. Although Meruem was naturally the strongest character in Hunter x Hunter (2011), Gon surpasses his power through limitless rage after the murder of his friend and mentor, Kite.
Gon and Killua return to meet Palm, prepared to face her fury upon failing to fulfill their promise, but she decides to forgive them when Gon accepts her request to have a date with her.
He's extremely strong, which is evident from the fact that Netero considered him to be one of the top 5 Nen users alive during the Chimera Ant arc. Ging's true abilities aren't known right now, but he's still powerful enough to defeat Hisoka, from what we've been told.
8 On Ging's Level: Netero
Known to have been the strongest Hunter in his prime, Netero's Nen powers were beyond anything a human had demonstrated in the series so far. He was the only one to be able to put up a fight against and hurt Meruem. He was certainly stronger than Ging.
Despite all this, Ging cares greatly for Gon in his own way; he sent Gon through onerous tasks to strengthen himself rather than using parental guidance. However, at the same time, it is also implied that Ging cannot handle the responsibility as a hands-on father to his son.
Does Ging ever see Gon?
The protagonist Gon from Hunter x Hunter, after many story arcs, hard battles, and navigating tricky situations, finally reunited with his father Ging after the Chairman Election arc. This occurred at the end of the anime, creating a satisfying conclusion to the series, but the manga is still ongoing.
In both the manga and anime adaptations, Gon's ultimate goal is to find his father, Ging, who was a Hunter.

Gon later heads out to meet up with Ging on the World Tree. Gon and Killua apologize to Kite for the role they played in his death. Gon later heads out to meet up with Ging on the World Tree. Gon and Killua apologize to Kite for the role they played in his death.
