Forsaken Ciphers and Exotics

Three (3) Forsaken Ciphers can be found in the Forsaken section of the Monument of Lost Lights Exotic Archive in the Tower. They can be used to purchase any Forsaken Exotic weapon in the Archive. If all Exotic weapons have been purchased, the Ciphers can be turned in for an Ascendant Shard.

There are currently three methods for earning Exotic Ciphers: reach level 55 in the Season Pass, complete a quest from Xur, or purchase the Forsaken Pack DLC.

You only earn three Forsaken ciphers through the Forsaken Pack. However, you can still unlock Forsaken-era items by earning Exotic Ciphers throughout your play! Check out Xur every week for a quest to earn more!

Empowered Thorn has the potential to put out far more DPS than Ace and can be used with some exotics such as Necrotic Grips to synergize off one another, but Ace has more immediate "do damage to one target with one shot" damage making it a good all-rounder and more preferred for PvP situations.

The campaign for Destiny 2's Forsaken expansion will be vaulted at the start of Year 5, on Feb. 22, 2022. As of Beyond Light, Exotic Ciphers are only available from a weekly quest from Xûr, a special vendor that only appears between Friday and Tuesday.

These always yield year-one Exotics that you don't already own, so they're basically collection fixers. Unlike Fated Engrams, Xur's incoming selection of Forsaken Exotics will be totally random, so you won't always get something new or something you want.

How do you get exotics easily?

Fatebringer has proven itself to be Destiny 2's best Legendary Hand Cannon. This weapon features one of the best perk pools out of all Hand Cannons, a great stat package, and it has an Adept variant.

In Destiny 2: Forsaken, the Cerberus+1 Exotic Auto Rifle is obtained through a random drop. While there's always an element of RNG to obtaining drops, this particular weapon can be earned from completing the weekly bounties in Gambit. It comes from one of the two Engram drops, and can also be obtained through packages.

The Last Word belonged to the Hunter Jaren Ward. It takes its name from the exchange between himself and the petty tyrant Loken. After Jaren's death, the gun passed to his adoptive son Shin Malphur, who used it in his legendary showdown with the fallen Guardian Dredgen Yor.

In PvP, Sunshot excels for both having a 150 RPM rate of fire and being able to take advantage of enemies standing close to one another, something commonly encountered even in Trials of Osiris.

It behaves like a powerful sidearm and is incredibly deadly (if you hit headshots). It counters short range well, and sort of covers mid range distance as well.

Xbox Game Pass is removing Forsaken, Shadowkeep and Beyond Light. Witch Queen will arrive and vault the Forsaken campaign and Tangled Shore. While that story remains a crucial piece of the lore, players will be losing access to much of the content that came alongside it. Both The Dreaming City and The Last Wish raid will be sticking around, but the Tangled Shore is on the chopping block and taking Spider's hideout along with it.

Those that did buy Forsaken will receive three Ciphers or Ascended Shards as compensation. However, Destiny 2 players are in an uproar over the news, as there will be no cash refund for those that purchased Forsaken in full.

In terms of leveling up Xur's Strange Favor Ranks fast, the best way to do that is to keep playing Dares of Eternity without switching to other activities. This mode includes a streak bonus, like all the other playlists.

What time does XUR spawn?

Xur: Agent of the Nine and a vendor in Destiny 2. He sells Legendary and Exotic items for Legendary Shards. He only appears on the weekends between 12 PM EST on Friday to 12 PM EST on Tuesday, and his location changes each week.

The player must spend the Cipher at the Monument to Lost Lights before they can turn the quest in to Xûr and get another Cipher as a reward. Turning in the quest prevents the player from acquiring a new copy of Xenology until the following weekend.

To have a chance at acquiring One Thousand Voices, players must open chests at the very end of the raid with keys dropped from the boss Riven. The fastest way to farm Riven in 2021 is to teleport directly to her using Last Wish's wish wall mechanic.
