Griffin has a super high torpor drain of 7.4 torpor per second. That means you will need 220 narcotics on official settings to keep it knocked out if you are using raw mutton. Griffin's favorite food is, of course, extraordinary kibble needing 11 for official and reducing narcotic usage to only 75.

Some creatures don't poop eggs, they are mammals. So they have no kibble (paracer, gigantopithecus....) or they are just unbreedable. I'd say the troodon is one of the hardest creatures. Troodon is certainly the hardest thing to tame.

A taming pen is recommended unless you have a tapejara with another tribemate to shoot at it. Allosaurus kibble works the best but alas mutton is a wonderfulalternative since the ovis is abundant on Ragnarok.
The giga is a ferocious creature you need about 500 tranq arrows to knock down a 135 make a metal trap and then knock it out with a tranq gun and shocking tranq darts. Use exceptional kibble.

They can be affected by bolas... so long as you use the right type. Otherwise just make a taming pen and lure a griffin into it, closing the door via key pad on other side.
Tips & Strategies. Two people can ride and both can equip tools/guns while riding and can dive for help during combat too. These winged beasts sadly can't be bred because they don't have genders, much like the rock elementals.

68 on a 150 Griffin is correct with a white/gray rifle. You may need to count 1 2 3 between shots and make sure not to hit wing tips. Body/head shots are your best bet.

if you want to tame a giga, just tame a griffin first or any type of griffin and shoot it with longneck rifle and shocking tranq darts. and then feed it lots of bio toxin while it's eating quetzal kibble.
Griffin Kibble is more effective to tame a Royal Griffin than Allosaurus Kibble.
