Does Blood+ come before Blood-C?
It is the second anime series in the Blood franchise following the 2005–2006 series Blood+. The original 12-episode series aired during 2011, with a sequel film, Blood-C: The Last Dark releasing in Japanese theaters the following year.

I know that Blood-C was produced in-part by Studio Production I.G, the creators of Blood+, and it has a lot of similarities to Blood+, such as the appearance and name of the characters and the name of the manga/anime/film.

Does Blood+ have romance?
the only difference is Blood + has more action. Both anime's have vampires, action, and romance. They also both have good character development and story lines, and you can't help but fall for one or more of the characters. If you enjoy one you'll most likely enjoy the other!
Plot. The series is initially set in September 2005 in Okinawa City (Koza) on Okinawa Island near the US Kadena Air Base. Under the care of her adoptive family, the protagonist Saya Otonashi had been living the life of an anemic amnesiac, but otherwise ordinary schoolgirl.
Actually, it's better if you skip the TV series, you'll enjoy the movie more that way. If after watching the movie you want to find more about the background then you can watch the prequel. If not, you can safely skip it.

I've since re-watched it twice and would definitely recommend it to anyone ... The story of Blood+ is one filled with compelling fight scenes, tension and mystery right until the very final episode.
