What is the best exotic in Destiny 2?

Xenophage has fallen out of favor thanks to changes in the balance meta and power creep, but in the hands of a Titan with Actium War Rig, it's still a decent job for doing large amounts of burst damage. Fortunately, just about every other machine gun is great for clearing out groups of enemies, especially Thunderlord.
