What happened to Seth Caro top chef?
Seth Caro, the famously volatile Top Chef Just Desserts contestant who dropped out of season one back in 2010 after suffering an anxiety attack during filming, says there was more to his departure from the show than a meltdown over having to use Breyer's ice cream instead of making his own.
Head judge Johnny Iuzzini comes back to stew room to tell them, "Seth is no longer going to be with us. He's had an anxiety attack and he's not going to be able to continue in the competition." The other contestants are worried about him, but relieved that he is gone.
While the show was well-received by fans, it only ran for two seasons. At the time, the explanation for the cancellation was that the show simply didn't fit into Bravo's format.
Iuzzini does not currently work in a restaurant kitchen, but he remains a co-judge on ABC's The Great American Baking Show, which debuted its third season December 7.
UPDATED: Season One "Just Desserts" contender Morgan Wilson is scheduled to appear before a Texas judge Oct. 27 to face three second-degree felony charges for the possession and intent to distribute inappropriate videos and images of children.
