Where to Park in Salem for free?

The City of Salem will provide free satelite parking and shuttle buses for the weekends of October 16 – 17, 23 – 24, and 30-31, 2021. The parking shuttles run 10:00 am-8:00 pm, and on Halloween they will run until 10:30 pm. NOTE: Only the lot at 108 Jefferson Street is for Haunted Happenings parking.

Walking Distances

Once in Salem, you'll be pleased to find that most everything you'd want to do is within walking distance. Downtown is about a mile wide, and any Salem attractions are located within about a 20-minute walk from each other at their farthest points.

Cost is $1.50 per hour (1.00/hour for Salem residents), and the multispace meters accept credit cards and cash.
