Which online payment is faster?
With PayPal, you can easily make B2B payments or transfer money from one person to another in seconds. This is among the most used online payment solutions in ecommerce and, in general, in the online environment across a wide spectrum of business activities.
Wire Transfers
They involve sending money directly from one bank account to another. A wire is the simplest global payment method because it requires no middleman to handle the transfer, and the fastest method, as funds are received by the payee on the same day, or within 1-2 business days.
The transfer of funds is completed immediately via IMPS. You can transfer money 24x7 by using this method. IMPS can be completed by using internet banking or mobile banking.

Technically the debit (credit) card would be the fastest because we can receive instant notification if the funds are available in the account. With a bank we don't get a response for 3-5 business days.
Faster Payments. These are electronic payments you can make online, over the phone, in a branch or using our self-service machines. As long as the other bank or building society uses Faster Payments too, the payment arrives almost immediately (though it can take up to 2 hours).
Card transactions usually process instantly but may take 1-3 business days for funds to clear. ACH or Direct Debit payments typically process within 1-3 business days. Wire transfers are often processed on the same day. These timelines can be influenced by weekends, holidays, and individual bank policies.
If you're making a payment on a bill and are transferring money from another account to do it, expect a short delay. If the account is with the same banking institution, the payment can appear within minutes online. If you're using a separate bank or account, it could take up to three to five business days.
Recipient bank
The banking provider of a recipient may also impact processing times. Some banks may take longer than others to process and clear any funds they receive. This happens due to outdated infrastructure, banking restrictions or closures. Many banks tend to process payments in 48-72hr backdated batches.

Which banks support instant transfers?
Most major US banks (e.g Bank of America, Chase, Citibank, HSBC, PNC Bank, US Bank, and Wells Fargo Bank) accept Instant Transfers to checking and savings accounts. In some instances, eligible bank accounts can receive Instant Transfers by adding a debit card.
To make an instant ACH transfer, you need a bank account linked to the Real-Time Payments (RTP) network. Confirm with your bank if they are part of the RTP network. Once confirmed, you can initiate an instant ACH transfer through your bank's website or mobile app.
Both Western Union and your typically US bank will take many days to deliver an international money transfer. However, Western Union offers expedited service that could shave that time down to minutes, depending on where you're sending it.
Have you ever seen your money “pending” in your account, but unavailable for withdrawal? It's because all transfers for a bank are done in batches during the day, to an automated clearinghouse. This automated clearinghouse sorts them out and moves them to the receiving bank between two and four hours of being received.
Bank to bank transfer times can vary across financial institutions depending on the type of transfer you make. If you're making a traditional inter-bank transfer it will take 1-3 business days. If you use NPP Faster Payments or a PayID it can be near real-time.

What is Faster Payments in USA?
The U.S. Faster Payments Council (FPC) is an industry-led membership organization established so Americans can safely and securely pay anyone, anywhere, at any time and with near-immediate funds availability.
It can take one to three business days for an online or phone payment to post to your credit card account and reflect in your available credit. That's because payments made using a checking account and routing number are processed in batches overnight and not in real time.
Basically, all Zelle payments are (instant) ACH payments but not all ACH payments are Zelle payments. The primary difference between Zelle and regular ACH payments is related to speed—whereas a standard ACH payment can take 2-5 days to clear, Zelle payments tend to clear in minutes.
As a result, most bank transfers are instantaneous, although in some cases, payment can take up to two hours.
