What happened to Future Zamasu? ›

After fighting Goku, Vegeta, Vegito, being sliced in half by Trunks, and finally being erased from existence along with the universe, by Future Zeno, the fused Zamasu is defeated, and ultimately, Future Zamasu is too. Super Saiyan God Goku overwhelms Future Zamasu.

Goku Black (ゴクウブラック, Gokū Burakku), also known as Zamasu (ザマス, Zamasu), though usually referred to as Black (ブラック, Burakku), is an alternate incarnation of Zamasu and a former North Kai and Supreme Kai apprentice serving his former master Gowasu from the unaltered main timeline within Universe 10.

Either he saw the Goku/Hit fight through Godtube, or it's a stable time loop(possible only because of the time ring) where Zamasu lost to Goku in that sparring fight. Zamasu watched GodTube to learn of Goku, he never actually met him directly.

With his fused body being an unbalanced mix, while his semi-immortal body struggles to properly heal from damage, his body's damaged sections mutate into a purple and slimy substance, which happened to the entire right half of his body.

Because it works like this: In DBZ, they work with the multiverse theory, which is when you make changes to one period of time, it creates another timeline, while the original timeline stays the same. When Beerus killed Zamasu in the DBS timeline, it didn't affect Mirai Trunk's timeline.

They eventually succeed in completing the Universe Seed, which Hearts absorbs to acquire his Godslayer form, but immediately afterward, Godslayer Hearts turns on Zamasu, erasing him from existence, as he wishes to terminate all deities, regardless of their affiliation.

Additionally, if the user can only perform the Hakai to a limited degree, a regeneration-using foe can potentially escape the attack and recover, such as when Goku's imperfect and slower Hakai could not quickly defeat Fused Zamasu, allowing the mad God to use Future Mai as a human shield and escape erasure.

Zamasu was a Kai that served under Gowasu and once respected his master. Zamasu grew distrustful of humans and mortals after losing in a fight against Goku.

Unlike his master, Zamasu refused to believe Mortals could ever change their ways. As time passed on his hatred for gods and mortals grew to the point where he even wanted to kill Gowasu in order to take his place and exterminate them himself, however he didn't have the will to act on his desires.

As with the anime, the only person Infinite Zamasu fears the most and in fact the only person he has ever run away from is Future Zeno; he flees in fear when he announces his intent to erase him and the entire timeline.

Why did Zamasu choose Goku's body? ›

In this new, alternate future, Zamasu uses the all-powerful Super Shenron to wish to swap bodies with that timeline's Goku. As a Supreme Kai, he is severely limited in terms of combat strength, explaining why he wanted Goku's Super Saiyan abilities, so that he may carry out his plan himself.

He is able to erase anything from existence, as seen when he erased Infinite Zamasu, along with the entire future universe (in the anime) or the future timeline (in the manga).

In the anime and Manga - he was erased from existence by Future Zeno after destroying much of the Earth while in the anime he fused with reality while in the manga - he infinitely multiplied through regeneration as a result of his immortality.

Despite his dark actions, Zamasu is still a pure-hearted man with a strong sense of duty (though not necessarily pure good).

Fused Zamasu possessed a permanent Super Saiyan Rosé state, due to Black having remained in this form when he fused with Future Zamasu via Potara. In the manga, both Goku Black and Future Zamasu are able to independently transform into Fused Zamasu, and thus possess this state.
