The employee Keycard is a story item essential for ending the game. It was added in update v0.32 to The Forest.

This item should not be confused with the gold Keycard Two obtained from Megan during the end game sequence.

Gameplay[]

The employee Keycard is located in a boarded-up alcove near the end of Cave 6 (also known as the Lawyer Cave). It is found near the Camcorder in a large pile of corpses and protected by an Armsy and Mutant Babies. The easiest entrance to the Cave 6 is in the cliffside passage by the shipping containers.

The employee Keycard (a separate item than the gold Keycard Two) is required to finish the story. The keycard is used to open the vault door at the very end of Cave HC (Hell Cave) entered through the underwater crevice found in the bottom of the sinkhole.

The employee Keycard is a scuffed pale gray/white color and covered with dried blood. Although difficult to see, the name of the owner, Karl Thomas Peterson, can just be read through the blood.
