Lebanon Levi and crew to return for fourth season of Amish Mafia (2024)

Hold your horses fans of "Amish Mafia", Lebanon Levi and his gang are returning to television next month.

The news that the hit Discovery Channel series is coming back for its fourth and final season was broken on the "Amish Mafia" Facebook page and first reported by entertainment website enstarz.

The cover photo posted on the page when the show went on hiatus in March has been replaced with a new photo and message stating "Amish Mafia" will return for its fourth and final season on Tuesday February 10.

Also posted on the Facebook page and the Discovery Channel's website is a 30-second sneak peek at what lies ahead for Lebanon Levi, including a confrontation involving Gov. Tom Corbett who criticized the show for its depiction of the Amish.

The future of the show had been in doubt until October when LancasterOnline reported members of the cast had been seen filming a new episode in downtown Lancaster.

That report stated several members of the show including, Jolin Zimmerman, and Esther and John Schmucker, would not be returning for the fourth season. It also mentioned the criticism the show has received from residents in the community, including the Lancaster County tourist bureau and some local media.

But the report also quoted Lancaster attorney Steve Breit's suggestion that new plots and possibly new characters will be included in the upcoming season to join others like Caleb, Alan and Merlin.

"We're bringing in fresh faces with new ideas, all based on the realities surrounding the Amish Mafia," Breit told LancasterOnline. "With all the negative publicity that has come about and with all the emotions that have surrounded this reality production, we just couldn't walk away from it."

"Amish Mafia" follows the exploits of Lebanon Levi, played by Richland Borough resident Levi Stoltzfus, and his henchmen, who administer a special brand of justice to keep the peace in Lancaster County's plain community. The reality show debuted in December of 2012 to 3.7 million viewers making it one of Discovery Channel's most popular shows.
