This is achieved through crafting in a camp. Eagle Eye can be used to locate nearby plants and herbs which glows with a yellow tinge. The player can collect any one type of a plant or herb in their satchel but they have to upgrade it to increase its carrying capacity.

In Red Dead Redemption 2, gathering can be just as important as hunting. There are a total of 43 different plants spread across the game, with uses ranging from horse food to miracle tonics and everything in between.

William can be found by the player south of Twin Stack Pass in The Heartlands. He is set up at a small camp containing a wagon, a tent and a storage area for his plant and herb collection.

Instead of just eating meals to restore your cores, you'll want to indulge in as much food as possible. This means multiple meals a day for many days in a row. Arthur's on a strict overeating routine — if you miss a couple of meals, or forget to eat loads of food for a couple of days, he's just not going to bulk up.

Finish 800 hours of herbal education. Take courses that include basic human sciences, nutrition and medical terminology, materia medica, pharmacy and pharmacognosy, and botany and botanical research. Complete 400 hours of clinical experience. Submit letters of recommendation.

Other organizations, like the American Herbalist Guild (AHG), offer memberships and certifications. The AHG requires 400 hours of training and clinical experience before practitioners can apply for the title of Registered Herbalist.

For better or for worse, anyone can call themselves an herbalist, and there is no law against anyone having the right to dispense or recommend herbs. However, if you are calling yourself an herbalist, you can't be practicing medicine with a license.
