Shops and businesses at Heathrow Airport's Terminal 2 (2024)

For many people, airport departure lounges are synonymous with shopping. It's not uncommon to see people around the world queueing up for duty-free alcohol, last minute souvenirs and - of course - the giant Toblerone bars that don't seem to exist outside international airports.

Heathrow Airport remains the UK's busiest airport and so is of course no exception to this rule. The London Airport boasts a range of shops to cater to people setting off or arriving on journeys across Europe and further afield.

The airport currently has four terminals and each offers a slightly different range of shops. Some of these are before departing passengers pass through security and some of them are after - with others in the Arrivals Hall.

In this article, BerkshireLive has looked at the shops and other useful businesses operating at the airport's Terminal 2. The list does not include restaurants or bars.

All information is of course subject to change. The lists are accurate as of publication at 7am on Friday, March 25 2022.

Before Security:

Terminal 2 has two businesses in its Departures area before passengers pass through security. Both of these are catered towards making the onward journey for departing passengers as convenient as possible.

The first of these is the Excess Baggage Company. This offers a number of services including worldwide baggage shipping, left luggage and bag wrapping. It also offers luggage delivery into London from Heathrow Airport.

The other businesses before security at Terminal 2 is a branch of Travelex. The currency provider offers banknotes in dozens of currencies around the world.

Shops and businesses in Heathrow Airport's Terminal 2 Arrivals area:

The Arrivals area at Terminal 2 also has branches of the Excess Baggage Company and Travelex. The former can help you get your luggage to London while the latter can provide much needed Pounds Sterling money for those who have arrived from overseas and haven't yet had time to change money.

The other businesses in the Arrivals area at Heathrow Airport's Terminal 2 are mainly geared towards making sure people have any last-minute essentials they need after a long flight. The businesses in the arrivals hall are WH Smiths, Boots and - for those who fancy a quick bite - M&S Simply Food.

Shops and businesses in Heathrow Airport's Terminal 2 Departures area:

The Departures area is, as you might expect, where a majority of Terminal 2's shops are. Once you've cleared security there are more than two dozen stores selling a range of items.

A good number of these are fashion and accessory businesses offering travellers the chance to use the last of their British currency up. Chains include Accessorize, BOSS, Bottega Veneta, Bulgari, Burberry, Case, Gucci, JD Sports, Kate Spade New York, Kurt Geiger, Paul Smith, Saint Laurent, Smythson, Sunglass Hut and Ted Baker.

If you're looking for a last minute gift then there are branches of Harrods, InMotion and Hamleys. People who have got to Heathrow and realised they don't have a fancy watch are also covered in Terminal 2 - the area boasts a Rolex store and Harrods has a 'Fine Watch Room'.

For travellers who don't need a Rolex but do want some duty free food or drink there's a World Duty Free shop and Caviar House and Prunier.

For passengers who need something a bit more practical - or something to ease the tedium of a long flight - there's branches of Boots, WH Smith, a WH Smith bookshop and, naturally, a Travelex.
