What is the difference between studio and location filming? ›

Simply, location filming means that you are shooting in the actual setting the story takes places rather than in a studio. A soundstage is a soundproof building or room used for the production of film and television content.

It depends. All things being equal, the cost of renting a studio is usually more than shooting on-location. However, multiple factors can change that dynamic. With a studio, you're likely paying a fixed day rate or half-day rate, which is what we offer for our studio.
