How much does a Tek Trough hold? ›

The Tek Trough must be powered by the Tek Generator, otherwise food inside will spoil as if a survivor was carrying it and not as a normal Feeding Trough would. Furthermore, the total amount of food that can be stored inside is 100 stacks, while the refrigerator holds only 80.

So based on just food value, raw meat is more efficient. Plus you don't have to cook it which is timed saved. Only reason to put cooked meat in is if you won't be on for days at a time. A stack of raw meat will take about 13-14 days to expire in a Tek Trough.

Does the tek trough have the same feeding range as a normal trough? Yes, the tek trough has the same exact feeding range. Can dinos still eat from the tek trough, even though it's not powered? Yes, dinos can still eat out of the tek trough when unpowered.

The Engram is unlocked by defeating Beta Megapithecus, Gamma Manticore, Gamma Rockwell, Desert Titan, Gamma Moeder and Gamma Crystal Wyvern Queen and must be unlocked in order to craft this item, but not to use it or equip it.

cooked meat restores more of it's food than raw, and it will eat out of a trough before it eats out of its own inventory. It will like most dinos, eat raw foods before cooked ones, even though cooked restores more of it's food. IF YOURE TAMING TO RAISE WYVERNS it will work but you have to stay near it the entire time.

There is a cheaty way of making your meat last longer. Take a stack with fresh timer and break it into singles then take the meat that is older and merge it with the fresh one by dragging the old onto the new. The meat will keep the timer if the original stack.

Are tek dinos breedable? ›

Tek Creatures spawn at a 20% higher level, i.e. on difficulty 5 (max level 150) they will spawn up to level 180. They have a chance of 5% to spawn instead of their normal counterpart. Tek Creatures can only mate with other Tek Creatures and cannot mate with normal Creatures.
