Adrienne Taub married serial killer Charles Cullen in the late 1980s. Their marriage was plagued with struggles, and the couple parted ways several years later. But interest in their life together has spiked in the wake of Netflix's new true crime film The Good Nurse. Cullen worked as a nurse for 16 years and admitted to murdering between 30 and 40 patients at the medical facilities he worked at. Cullen is serving 11 life sentences in prison for his crimes, but there are questions about where his former wife, Adrienne Taub, is now and what she has been up to. According to The Cinemaholic, Cullen and Taub tied the knot on June 7, 1987, in New Jersey and welcomed two daughters, Shauna and Saskia. One year after they married, Cullen killed his first victim while working at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. According to The New York Times, retired judge John W. Yengo Sr was admitted to the hospital's burn unit with severe sunburn and died days later. Cullen admitted to administering Yengo a fatal overdose of lidocaine, which resulted in his death.

Cullen continued his murderous crime spree while married to Taub. The New York Times revealed that the former nurse admitted to administering fatal doses of the heart medication digoxin to Helen Dean, Lucy Mugavero, and Mary Natoli in 1993 while working at Warren Hospital in Warren, New Jersey.

As Cullen's crimes progressed, things grew tense at home with his wife and children. In 1993, Taub filed for divorce from Cullen due to claims of "unusual behavior" and "extreme cruelty." According to divorce filings obtained by The Morning Call, Taub claimed that her estranged husband was distant, easy to anger, and unsupportive. In the documents, Taub reportedly accused Cullin of abusing their two Yorkshire terriers.

Taub reportedly attempted to get a restraining order against Cullen. She accused him of leaving their daughters with a babysitter for a week at a time, burning one of their books in the fireplace, and spiking people's drinks with lighter fluid. A judge reportedly refused to grant the order because Cullen never physically harmed Taub or his two children.

Adrienne received physical custody of their daughters when their divorce was finalized on December 7, 1994. Cullen received unsupervised visits.

After Cullen was arrested in 2003, reporters tracked Taub at her home in Roselle Park, New Jersey, where she gave her only statement about her ex's crimes. According to The Morning Call, she said, "You can imagine what we are going through," the mother of two added, "Leave my family and children out of it. I have nothing to say."

Neither Taub nor her daughters have publicly addressed their past or current relationship with Cullen and their thoughts about his horrific crimes. They were not featured in The Good Nurse. Taub and her daughters have stayed out of the public eye after the new Netflix movie. There are even some unconfirmed reports that both Saskia and Shauna have legally changed their names.
