In the Sims 4 strawberries are useful not only for cooking, but additionally many players have found that if your sim eats strawberries whilst pregnant, then the chances of them giving birth to a girl increases immensly! Where to Find Strawberries in the Sims 4
There are many different ways of finding or purchasing strawberries in the Sims 4 and more ways are available if you have certain expansion packs as described below. No extra packs are needed as you can find strawberries in the sims 4 base game! Here’s how:
Explore the World (Base Game)
In the Sims 4, many different plants will spawn around the world. So if you explore the area around the lot that you are playing on you will likely see a few plants that may or may not be harvestable. You can see the type of plant by hovering over the plant with your cursor. Strawberries can be easily found this way if you are lucky and they are growing close to your sim’s lot. A great benefit to this method is that harvesting a strawberry from one of these plants is free. However, this is not the most effective way because plants are dispersed throughout the various worlds at random I believe.

Using debug (Base Game)
The debug catalogue can only be accessed using a cheat. How to activate the cheat:
- Press CTRL + SHIFT + C
- Type into the white bar that appears in the top left of the screen testingcheats true and press enter
- Type in the buydebug cheat, which is bb.showhiddenobjects and press enter (if you want to unlock even more objects, then afterwards type in bb.showliveditobjects and hit enter)
Now, in build mode you will have access to all items in the debug catalogue. Use the search bar to search for strawberries and then you can place one into your game. Simple as that.
Buy from Vendors at Stalls (Expansion Packs)
Several Sims 4 expansion packs introduce stands to the game. The stands in the Sims 4 Cottage Living (the best pack for buying produce), Sims 4 City Living and Sims 4 Seasons are the most useful in your quest to find strawberries in the game. Note that buying one strawberry using this method will cost approximately 44 simoleons.
In the Sims 4 City Living, each neighbourhood of San Myshuno has stands in the outdoor spaces. The stands change automatically in the game each day and are on rotation. In the spice district, arts quarter and fashion district there are produce stands in the rotation, so you should be able to find and buy strawberries if you travel to San Myshuno from the vendors there. If you aren’t able to find any on your first trip there, then go back the next day and you should find them!
Oftentimes pack specific vendor stands spawn only in the world associated with that pack, but lucky for us the stands from Sims 4 Seasons spawn randomly across many different worlds. For example, I had one in my game recently in the Foundry Cove residential neighbourhood of Willow Creek. These stands may sell strawberries, so it is worth looking around the neighbourhood that your sim is in to see if there are any stands there. They will look similar to the one in the picture above.
The Sims 4 Cottage Living makes buying all produce, including strawberries, very easy. All you need to do is travel to the village centre of Henford-On-Bagley by loading into one of the lots in Finchwick and you can walk to both Goldbloom’s Grocery Shop and Crumplebottom’s Garden Shop. Both of these stands sell strawberries. The items on sale do rotate sometimes, so in the unlikely chance that you can’t find them the first time you visit I recommend returning the following day. Keep in mind that both of the shops are only open between 9am and 7pm in game time!
Another reason why the Sims 4 Cottage Living makes buying strawberries so easy is that the pack introduces grocery delivery! You can order delivery by going to “hire a service” on your sim’s phone and selecting it there or you can simply click on the fridge and one of the options will be to order delivery. Then, just select strawberries and the grocery deliverer will bring it straight to your sim’s home lot.
In the Sims 4 Horse Ranch, your sim can easily purchase strawberries from the grocery store in the New Appaloosa neighbourhood of Chestnut Ridge. I recommend loading into the Rusty Horseshoe nightclub lot and then navigate to the building in the screenshot below.
Click on this building and select “Shop for Groceries and Goods”. Your sim will then be able to purchase strawberries for 44 simoleons each from the pop-up menu.
Purchase Seeds (Sims 4 Seasons)
With the Sims 4 Seasons, you can buy season specific seed packets. Strawberries are in season in Spring, so buy the Seasonal Spring Seed Packet to possibly receive strawberries instantly in your sim’s inventory! Purchase seed packets by clicking on a garden pot or a planter box. Note that one seasonal spring seed packet will cost 100 simoleons in game. If you plant strawberries to grow more of, then know that they will take approximately 5 days and 6 hours to harvest.
Final Remarks
If you think that you will ever want your sim to have a girl child, then you can keep one strawberry and plant it before your sim even gets pregnant. That way you will have your own supply and don’t have to worry about going out and finding strawberries again.
