Can I return my Cox modem to a UPS store?
For customers who are located near a UPS Store or have moved to an area not serviced by Cox, the Return Anywhere option offers the flexibility to return Cox equipment to any UPS store located within the United States. Notes: To avoid potential charges, contact us to change your service before you return any equipment.
Stop by a local UPS Store
You may either package the equipment yourself using a cardboard box and the prepaid UPS shipping label you printed at home, or you may bring your equipment to the store and a UPS representative will pack and ship your equipment back to us.
You may provide your own modem, wifi router or combination device (click here for a list of supported devices). However, we will not be able to provide any support for your home network unless you rent the Panoramic Wifi Gateway. This allows us to provide the best experience and support possible to you.
Consequences of Not Retuning the COX equipment

Will Cox Cable work without a cable box?
As far as watching cable-TV without a Contour box, the answer is no because, as with all providers, Cox encrypts its programming, so you need to rent a Cox box to decrypt the programming.
At this time, there is not an option to purchase a cable box from us. On the upside, by renting the cable box you are able to upgrade and swap out the cable box for the same class cable box at no addition costs if the box needed to be replaced. Unfortunatly renting something isn't the same thing as leasing to own.
