Is BDSP Elite 4 harder? ›

It's harder than what comes before it, but all level 100 is definitely overkill for the first round of Elite 4 battles. The highest level you'll face is 66. The Elite 4 actually gets 2 upgrades in BDSP though.

I'd say Platinum, since I feel it has more challenging battles in general, but you can go with D/P if you want a difficult game in the sense of "OH MY GOD THIS IS PAINFUL TO PLAY." That's true. D/P always felt a little slow when first playing them, but after Pt, HG/SS, and especially B/W, it's just... bad.
