Flamebreaker Helms are pieces of Armor that can be purchased in the Ripped and Shredded shop at Goron City.

The entire set can be very expensive for players just starting out, though there are a few ways to earn Rupees early on to afford at least the armor piece. Each of the pieces in the set has an armor stat of three and have the Flame Guard ability, which protects Link from areas with high temperature and extreme heat.

You only need two pieces of the Flamebreaker Armor Set to comfortably explore Death Mountain's hottest caves and lava areas, but wearing all three pieces and upgrading them twice does give you the Flameproof set bonus.

There are four pieces of fire resistant armor in Tears of the Kingdom: Flamebreaker Helm.

When each piece of the Set has been enhanced at least two times by a Great Fairy and the full Set is worn, it provides a Fireproof Set Bonus. Armor crafted by Gorons for Hylians curious enough to visit Goron City. It's made from fire-resistant rocks to protect the wearer.

The Fireproof Armor consists of the Flamebreaker Helm, Flamebreaker Armor, and Flamebreaker Boots. All three pieces can be bought at Ripped and Shredded armor shop in Goron City, though a Flamebreaker Armor is awarded from completing the "Fireproof Lizard Roundup" Side Quest.

Even after obtaining the Flamebreaker Helm, Flamebreaker Armor, and Flamebreaker Boots, Fireproof Elixirs can be used to protect Link from the volcanic temperatures during quick visits to Goron City. A recipe poster for Fireproof Elixir can be found at the Foothill Stable in the Eldin Canyon region.

Flame Guard does not protect against Heat in desert environments, such as in the Gerudo Desert. Flame Guard can be granted by wearing Armor that provides it as an effect, such as the Flamebreaker Set and the Vah Rudania Divine Helm, or by administering Fireproof Elixirs.
