Big scenes from Blood+

I found the story rather compelling. On top of it all, the action is nearly addictive without being too over the top. I think it's a wonderful series. I do, however kind of wish that there was a bit more visual continuity between Blood: TLV and the series.

Blood-C (stylized as BLOOD-C) is a 2011 Japanese anime television series co-created by studio Production I.G and manga artist group CLAMP. It is the second anime series in the Blood franchise following the 2005–2006 series Blood+.

Unlike the other Blood+ manga adaptations, which are seinen and shōnen works respectively, Blood+: Kowloon Nights is a shōjo manga, particularly of the shōnen-ai (or Boy's Love) genre.

While each version shares the Blood name, they each tell different stories with different outcomes, and it isn't necessary to watch each series to understand the full story. Blood+ is available for free on TubiTV, while Blood-C is available through Funimation's streaming services.

Anime. The Chinese government has repeatedly censored anime shows that the country considers immoral, especially those that include bloody and violent scenes. Blood-C, a Japanese anime television series, has been banned since it includes a "particularly bloody" scene which may cause "extreme discomfort".

In 2015, the Chinese government's Ministry of Culture banned the Blood-C anime due to the extreme amount of violence portrayed in the show, with a prime example being the infamous 'beheading scene' which is bound to cause 'extreme discomfort' to some audiences.

Blood+ was inspired by the 2000 anime film Blood: The Last Vampire; however, there are only a few allusions and basic elements from the film. Fujisaku has been involved with both works, including acting as the director and writer for Blood+ and writing the novelization of Blood: The Last Vampire.

In 2005, Sony and Production I.G announced the creation of Blood+, a fifty-episode anime television series. It is held to be an alternate universe telling of Blood: The Last Vampire; it has only minor connections and similarities to the film, and many differences.

Overall, Blood is a great horror mystery with suspense and awesome performances from the cast.

Amazingly good so far. I am quite a fan of Korean TV shows, so I'm speaking out of experience when I say: this is one of the best series ever. Don't get frightened by the fact that the main character is actually a vampire - this story is not like any other vampire-tale.

The monster fights provide some excellent action and animation, gallons of blood and a little scariness but like so much of the story lacks any good suspense. Much of it has CLAMP's finger prints so glaringly over it that it's a gaudy series. Great animation and great music but a very lackluster story.

I honestly don't think I have laughed as hard in any anime before as I have in this one. It also has a certain sexiness to it. They don't overdo anything thus keeping a nice balance for a nice and unique anime. The plot is fairly simple but it is good enough to have you continue watching or reading it for a long time.

Much like other supernatural monster anime series, gruesome deaths obviously serve as recurring themes. Heads and limbs being torn apart is quite a normal occurrence in Blood-C. The goriest scenes though are of monsters feasting on their victims, each killing accompanied by its own unique method.
