Why is MAPPA animating Vinland Saga?
Taking to social media, the director said moving to MAPPA made the most sense to everyone as the studio would allow Vinland Saga to retain its creative team even after the switch. It was my personal matter that I transferred to MAPPA, and our team had to leave the previous studio regardless of my transfer.
The second season of the critically acclaimed shonen anime series Vinland Saga will be released in January 2023 and will be animated by studio MAPPA (Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan: The Final Season).
Along with teasing the brutal action and intense emotion to come, the announcement trailer for Vinland Saga Season 2 revealed a release window of 2023 and confirmed studio MAPPA has taken over animation from Wit Studio, which oversaw production for the anime's first season.
The anime does a staggering job of faithfully adapting the Vinland Saga manga, in terms of art direction, emotional impact, story beats, plotting, pacing, and character writing. That said, the manga still remains a masterpiece and, therefore, essential reading.
Produced by Twin Engine, Production I.G, Wit Studio and Kodansha, the series is animated by Wit Studio and directed by Shūhei Yabuta, with Hiroshi Seko handling series composition, Takahiko Abiru designing the characters and Yutaka Yamada composing the music.
Adult Askeladd is first seen in the present-day Vinland Saga timeline in his early 30s. As an adult, Askeladd is an average-sized Viking warrior, standing at 170cm and weighing in at 65kg. He is muscular but lean, an expected build for such a fast man, though his stature belies his incredible strength.
Attack on Titan fans have been concerned ever since studio Wit passed the franchise off to MAPPA. Though MAPPA was the only studio able to take on the project, many fans worried over how much the series would change and if MAPPA would be able to produce a satisfactory product with the tight schedule it has.
Season 1 of Vinland Saga was animated by Wit Studio. It began airing in Japan on 08 July 2019, on Japan's national broadcaster NHK.
It's also been confirmed that WIT Studio will not be returning to handle the Vinland Saga Season 2 project. Instead, the anime TV sequel will be produced by Studio MAPPA. The anime creators also revealed their desire that the entire manga should receive a full adaptation.
“Classroom of the Elite” was unable to adapt the full of its source material, as is sometimes the case with anime adaptations. As a result, supporters are still waiting for a second season to premiere.

Vinland Saga, among others, has proven through their quality and other attributes that this is one of the best anime to come out in 2019. With the year winding to a close, and the season well into its progress, it is fair fair to say that the series has cemented itself in that category of success.
Vinland Saga is one of the best shows to come out in 2019, without a doubt. It's story is so well written that it's strange they didn't adapt the manga sooner. The character dynamics are all incredibly important and the characters grow naturally with the situations they're put in.
Sometime during the crew's expedition to Greece, Thorfinn and Gudrid marry and officially adopt Karli, who henceforth refers to them as his mother and father. Thorfinn and Gudrid do not specify that Karli is adopted when they introduce him to others.

The mangaka has confirmed that the manga was in its final arc starting with Chapter 167. He estimates that Vinland Saga's final chapter will be Vinland Saga 216, which means the finale in Volume 28 will come out in 2024 (barring any unexpected hiatus).
Thorkell the Tall, (born late 950s, southern Sweden—died after 1023), Viking warrior and chieftain who gained renown during his lifetime for his fighting prowess and who played a notable role in English history in the 11th century. Little is known of Thorkell's early life.
Askeladd is the central antagonist of Vinland Saga. He is the captain of a viking pirate and mercenary band who killed Thorfinn's father, Thors, with underhanded tactics after losing to him in a duel.
Askeladd is inspired by a Norse folklore character called Askeladden, and Canute was an actual Danish king. However, one thing to remember is that while many characters of Vinland Saga are based on real-life people, the Mangaka takes artistic liberties and has his own way of portraying them.
Why did AOT change to MAPPA?
Apparently, many studios refused the offer to finish the series, not wanting to attempt to fill WIT Studio's gargantuan shoes. Eventually, MAPPA was the studio chosen to take the final season on.
Both studios have used differing art styles for their respective take on Attack on Titan's adaptation. However, none is objectively better, especially since MAPPA's muted colors are perfect to depict the all-out war everyone finds themselves in during Season 4.
Why is Attack on Titan changing animation studios? Attack on Titan is changing studios because Wit Studio is: One: Already having a hard time keeping up with the animation quality for AOT and more anime. This was obviously one reason why Season 2, with ONLY 12 episodes, took 4 long years AFTER Season 1 was released.
The reason being was that, the creators wanted the anime to escalate even further. They were told by dozens of studios that they emphatically could not accept it. The only studio that said they would consider the animation was Mappa. The producers were in agreement, so the production shifted to MAPPA.

A-1 Pictures will work on Solo Leveling's animation, and Shunsuke Nakashige will take the director's seat. According to the announcement, Noboru Kimura is working on the script while Tomoko Sudo is taking charge of the character design.
It is animated by Studio MAPPA and premiered on October 2, 2020.
